Jupiter

Jupiter is the fifth planet from the sun. It's the largest and most massive planet in the solar system. Jupiter's diameter is about 142,000 kilometers (88,000 miles) - about 11 times the diameter of Earth. The mass of Jupiter is about 1,900,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000 kilograms - about 318 times the mass of Earth.

It takes Jupiter about 11.86 years to make a single orbit of the sun. It's average distance from the sun is about 778,000,000 kilometers (483 million miles).

Voyager 1 took this image of Jupiter and Ganymede when the spacecraft was a little over a month away from it's closest approach to the giant planet.
