Akavish on an H180
We decided to try flying our Akavish on an H180 motor at Bunnell Blast 2006. Although I had expected the flight to result in lots of spider-parts raining down as the rocket shredded, it was actually a very good flight. The parachute did fail to deploy because the ejection charge was a little too energetic and burned the parachute's shroud lines. But the rocket bounces well and was, otherwise, undamaged.
This short video was taken by a small video camera placed on the ground in front of the launch pad. Keep watching after the rocket launches!
