SA-8

SA-8 was launched on May 25, 1965 at 15:35:01 p.m. EST from Pad 37B at Cape Canaveral Air Force Station in Florida.

SA-8 was a test of the Apollo spacecraft and the Saturn booster. The Saturn-1 (Block-2) carried a boilerplate Apollo Command and Service Module (CSM) with a Launch Escape System tower. Inside the boilerplate CSM was the Pegasus 2 satellite.
