SA-4SA-4 was an unmanned test launch of a Saturn I. SA-4 tested the S-I first stage of the Saturn I rocket. The suborbital flight tested the rocket's ability to deal with an engine failure during the flight and included a dummy second stage matching the aerodynamic design of the real second stage. |
