ROCK's February, 2008, Launch

February's ROCK launch included a "Predicted Duration" contest. Marc Doolittle won the competition by predicting his rocket's flight duration within .3 seconds.

Bracha flew her Estes Silver Comet on a D12-7 motor. The flight was perfect, until the rocket landed in the top of a thirty-foot tree. After the launch, Tom climbed a tree to extend the reach of his long "rocket retriever pole" and managed to snag the Silver Comet. He also braved barbed wire to recover another rocket that had landed across the street from the launch site.

Photographs from the launch are in the PayloadBay.com Gallery.
