Meniere's Disease

Meniere's Disease (idiopathicendolymphatic hydrops), is a disorder of the inner ear which often causes dizziness.

Astronaut Alan Shepard suffered from Meniere's Disease and was grounded. He later underwent endolymphatic sac shunt surgery and recovered well enough to become commander of Apollo 14.
