Satellite Communications, Fourth Edition (Professional Engineering)

A communications satellite is an artificial satellite used for telecommunications. Most communications satellites are in a geostationary orbit as first described in a 1945 magazine article by Arthur C. Clarke. Clarke is often cited as the inventor of the communications satellite.
