Astronaut Hall of Fame and MuseumThe Astronaut Hall of Fame was created in the 1980s by the six surviving Mercury astronauts. The U.S. Astronaut Hall of Fame opened in Titusville, Florida, in 1980. Located just outside a gate to the Kennedy Space Center, the Astronaut Hall of Fame is now part of the Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex. The Hall of Fame features the world's largest collection of personal astronaut memorabilia. |
