Apollo 204Apollo/Saturn 204 (AS-204) was supposed to be the first manned flight in the Apollo program. The mission was redesignated Apollo 1 after a tragic fire during a training exercise on January 27, 1967, killed Command Pilot Virgil I. Grissom, Senior Pilot Ed White, and Pilot Roger B. Chaffee.
